  • The ‘Year Ahead’ the City has budgeted to commence two major capital works projects within the Coastal Ward:
    • Scarborough Environs Area Strategy (SEAS) – further improvements to public infrastructure in partnership with the MRA.
    • Coastal Pool (to be delivered late 2017).
  • Budget Overview:
    • 2015/16 budget of $282M.
    • A Balanced Budget.
    • Revenue of $226M.
    • Capital Expenditure of $74.7M.
    • An increase in Rates of 1.9% as detailed above – below CPI.

Cr Bill Stewart is a strong advocate for community projects within the Coastal Ward and takes a proactive leadership role in advocating Council decisions that deliver in a responsible financial manner.
